An informal meeting of regional military commanders—specifically Military Regions 1 and 2 of Thailand and Military Regions 4 and 5 of Cambodia—will convene at 07:00 hours on July 29, 2025. Further meetings involving military attachments and regional commanders, led by the ASEAN Chair, will follow if both sides agree.

A meeting of the General Border Committee (GBC) is scheduled to be hosted by Cambodia on August 4, 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to resolve border issues.

The statement highlighted Malaysia’s role in coordinating the peace process, noting that Malaysia would deploy an observer team to ensure the implementation of the ceasefire. The leaders reaffirmed their support for continued dialogue and encouraged direct communication between their respective Prime Ministers, Foreign Ministers, and Defense Ministers to sustain peace efforts.
